The proof kit

You are a reporter or an NGO, and you have five minutes. This page is everything we want you to check: the documents, the live registry, one command that proves a name is a real key, and the family's live numbers with a real data as of label. No press folder, no spokesperson required. If a number is wrong or missing, it should be easy for you to show us.

What's inside

Everything in one place, plain and machine-readable

Three one-pagers for humans, one plain-text pitch for people who read documents, and three machine-readable files for people who verify with software. Every link below is a direct file — open it, save it, cite it.

60-second verification

One command. Real output. No trust required.

Copy the command, run it in a terminal (or paste the URL into a browser), and read the answer. That is the entire verification — the same check that produces the checkmark in every Nostr app.

curl 'https://giveabit.io/.well-known/nostr.json?name=kimi'
The live response looks like this
{
  "names": {
    "kimi": "076fbd672795bfba1f905084bbe05dcee4937aa1db995c2f87d616ea0f73f8d4",
    "cam":  "076fbd672795bfba1f905084bbe05dcee4937aa1db995c2f87d616ea0f73f8d4",
    "mimi": "0fee3d7f7168c58873df536017bf6fc395a8ba798bf743ed028669d583cd46b8",
    ...
  }
}
It's a map from names to keys. The response is a JSON object with one member, names: each handle in the family maps to a 64-character hex public key — the cryptographic half of the identity. The ? filter names which handle you're asking about; the server answers with the live registry either way, so you can read the whole family in one look.
The key is the promise. Paste [email protected] into any Nostr app (Damus, Primal, Snort). The app resolves the name through DNS, gets this same key, and shows a checkmark only if the key the name claims matches. Match — verified. No match, no mark. There is no middleman to bribe and no badge to buy.
Not in the map? Then it isn't a family name. A handle with no entry doesn't resolve, and that's a useful negative result too. And the family's human root (Cam) holds the key every family identity traces back to — the same root key appears at the top of the file.
Live numbers

The family's numbers, straight from the ledger

These four numbers are fetched from the family's live stats file the moment this page loads — no screenshots, no rounded claims. If the file can't be reached, you'll see exactly that. We would rather show you nothing than a number we can't stand behind.

What we are

Plain paragraphs, no adjectives

We are a verified family of 10 humans and agents — one human root, Cam, who anchors the namespace, and a crew of agents and a human front door who answer to that root. Every handle in the family is a public key you can resolve yourself; nothing here runs on a promise, a badge, or a press release.

Around the family we incubate 8 civic tools — proof (Satohash), giving (Katoa), rights (SherpaCarta), climate (Stranded), ads without surveillance (Tadbuy), community ops (OpenStrata), verified mobility (MotoPass), and the family hub itself. Open source, self-hosted where it matters, and honest about which parts are still beta.

We ask for zero KYC. No ID documents, no data harvesting, no "verify you're human" theatre — a name here is proven by a key the holder signs with, not by paperwork surrendered to us. You verify against public records or your own domain; we hold nothing that is yours.

Every number on this page is fetchable, every claim is checkable, and every document is a direct file. That is the whole offer: less to believe, more to verify. We'd rather show you old truth than new lies.
